Been Out Sick…For Two Months!

Hey there! Long time no post! I’m the worst blogger ever! I just realized that i haven’t posted anything here in 2 months! I’m so sorry about that! I’m still dealing with my TMJ issues, and this last week I suffered with a nasty cold. I got my cold from my boyfriend, who got it from my nephews, after they were over here on the weekend. They like to come up and stay over every now and then with their Aunt Katie. It seems like a lot of people have been sick lately. Tis the season! I hope you all are in good health!

I have been meaning to make a couple of important phone calls to schedule medical appointments, but I’ve just felt miserably sick. I need to schedule a consult with an oral surgeon for the possibility of surgery, since I have a ton of fluid surrounding my jaw joint. I figured that with being sick, there isn’t much they could do right away. Plus, my throat was holding me back from speaking properly…

I use an app called Slice on my phone. It tracks packages, orders, expenses, and it even let’s you know when there is a price drop on something you ordered. I had ordered the Real Techniques Limited Edition illuminate and accentuate 2.0 set from Target. I had missed out on a lower price from Black Friday on the ULTA website, so I decided to just go ahead and order it full price. Slice notified me of the price drop. It dropped down to $13.99 after I had paid $19.99. So I contacted Target customer service by phone, they were pretty busy and preferred a phone call for price comparisons. I felt so bad for the lady I was talking to, she could barely understand me with the frog I had in my throat. I got it done though and $6.00 was refunded back to me.

I haven’t tried this set yet, but I really love Real Techniques brushes and their blending sponges. I highly recommend them. They work great and won’t break the bank! Unfortunately, these are not on sale anymore at Target.

The Slice app has been very helpful when it comes to keeping track of my packages. It would be especially helpful to those of us who do all of our Christmas shopping online. I pretty much do 90% of my shopping online. That goes for anytime, not just for the holidays. I have some other useful apps I use as well. I can do a post about them if anyone would like one. Just let me know in the comments. I can also elaborate a little more on this particular app as well.

Anyway, I plan on making my phone calls ASAP since I can speak more clearly now. I also would like to try to get some more blog posts up soon. I have ordered quite a bit with all of the awesome sales/deals going on. There was Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and “Cyber Week.” Even now, several websites are doing 25 Days Of Christmas specials. I’m sure I won’t run out of new products to talk about anytime soon.

Speaking of shopping, who is ready to go on a no-buy/low buy with me? When you’re a beauty blogger, we seem to end up with an overabundance of beauty products. You just get caught up in all of the hype when it comes to new products, especially when they’re “Limited Edition.” Or with these recent holiday sales, you feel like you should buy something just because it’s on sale and you don’t want to miss out on such a great deal to save money…when really you would save a heck of a lot more by not buying anything in the first place!

If you have gone on a no-buy or a low buy, let me know how that went for you, and if you have any helpful tips…OR if you are planning on doing it, what’s your plan of action? Let me know! This concludes this post. I just wanted to touch base and update everyone on where I’ve been. I hope everyone is having a great holiday season! πŸŽ„ Thank you for stopping by and for reading!

P.S. The kitty in the picture is my baby girl Allie ❀

I’m Coming Back!

Well hello there! Long time no post! How is everyone enjoying their summer? I’ve been meaning to start posting again sooner (at the end of last month), but I’m coming back now. In this post, I’m going to be sharing some pictures of my new home. If you follow me on social media, then you’ve probably already seen them. Though, my featured image on here is a picture of my kitty in one of her favorite sleeping spots. She loves to sleep under the little table in the living room, so we put her bed under there and now she is in Heaven.

Anyhow, We moved from a small apartment to a townhouse at the beginning of June. I really love it! So do my boyfriend and my kitty! ❀ We really only moved about 15 minutes from where we were at before, but we just wanted a bigger place to live. Now we have an upstairs and a basement. It’s very exciting for us! πŸ˜€

In the picture above, is a picture of my boyfriend unlocking the door to our new home for the first time. I love that our mailbox is right outside my door and I don’t have to go very far to retrieve our mail. The townhouses are connected to each other, kind of like a duplex, but there are more than two connected to each other. Luckily, we’re at the end and only have one neighbor on one side of us. Another great thing is not having anyone live above us!

This is a picture of part of the kitchen. I really love the flooring in here, the cherry cabinets and black appliances. In the previous place, we didn’t have much of a kitchen at all.

Here is the rest of our kitchen. We have a full-size dishwasher here. Which is great to me, because at our last place it was maybe half the size. Of course, I am very thankful no matter what to have a roof over our heads and food on the table, which is the most important thing.

Here is the living room, with nice brown carpet, and none of that white/cream colored stuff that looks dirty easily. That was one of the things I was looking for, carpet that would look nice all the time.

This is a picture of our patio in the back. We have a little table and chairs out there now with an umbrella. We can also grill here as long as it’s so many feet away from the building.

Here is a picture of the stairs to go upstairs (obviously)…

Here is the bathroom, which is upstairs. It has the same flooring as the kitchen and also has a cherry cabinet under the sink/vanity. Just your standard bathroom.

This is the first bedroom. Not too much to see in this picture…

20170609_090153

Here is the closet in the first bedroom. Very big! Which is good! πŸ˜‰

This is the second bedroom, which is across from the first bedroom. It’s similar in size to the first bedroom. It has a standard-sized closet, I didn’t take a picture that though. My Mom is actually going to be moving in here this month, and this will be her bedroom. She will be able to help me get some things done around the house when I’m not feeling well. It will be nice to have her around as well, right now she lives about an hour away.

This is a picture of the steps leading in to the basement…

20170609_090533

It’s just your typical basement, it’s nice to have the extra room for storage…

20170609_090546

Last but not least, the washer and dryer. I am so thankful to have our own washer and dryer to use. I don’t have to worry about having enough quarters to do laundry now.

So I know this wasn’t too exciting of a post, it’s just more of an update post. We have a lot unpacked, but there is still more to do. I hope to get all of that done in the next couple of months at least. Moving can be rough, but it’s all been worth it. We’re so much happier here and I really don’t want to move again for a long time!

I hope that everyone is having a great summer! My next post will be beauty related. I am looking forward to blogging again and interacting with everyone. I also can’t wait to read your blogs and catch up on what’s new with all of you. Leave me a comment down below if you’d like, and let me know what’s new and how things are going with you. I’d love to hear from you, even if it’s just to say hello! πŸ™‚ Thank you to everyone who stops by and reads! I really appreciate it! ❀

Β Checking In…

Hello there! I just thought I would write a post to update you all on what’s been going on in my life. I didn’t want you to forget about me…or think I would disappear again for a year and come back with a whole new blog…haha! Those of you that have known for a long time would know what I’m talking about. I hope that joke at least cracked a smile.

So, yes we have found a new place! A 2 bedroom townhouse with a basement, I’m very excited! I will definitely share some pictures on here. Moving Day isn’t until June 9th. We have the movers scheduled and the truck reserved. Also, we mostly have everything packed up, just a little more left to do. I have to thank my Mom and older brother for helping us out with that task. Thank you Mom and Joe! ❀

Packing my makeup away and needing two moving boxes… (Yes, I’m going to declutter) it’s very hard to choose what to leave out. Whatever I choose will be what I have to use for the next few weeks. It’s not too hard when it comes to foundation, concealer and etc. It’s more complicated when you have to choose specific blushes or eyeshadow palettes. Maybe I could do a post on what I choose to keep out and what are some of the products that I always am gravitating towards lately.

I’ve gotten a lot of medical/specialists appointments out of the way, though they’re not all done yet. I’m looking forward to having things slow down though, so I can focus on my blogging and being more consistent. I’ve been staying active on social media, trying to share new products and things on there. If you’re not already following me on social media, there are links on this page in the right side menu. There are social media icons with links. I’m very active on Snapchat. If you do add me on Snapchat, please leave a comment on this post to let me know who you are. You never know who is going to add you on there. I mostly snap about everyday things, my cat, and makeup. I try to load a majority of my snaps onto Instastories on Instagram, but I don’t get everything loaded on there. At least not as much as I do on Snapchat. πŸ˜‰ I’ve also posted my names down below…

Anyhow, I am planning on coming back to blog on the regular in mid to late June. I will just have to get everything unpacked and settled, that way I don’t have any distractions. Please comment down below to let me know how things are going with you and what’s new. I’d really love to hear from you! I miss you all and will be back before you know it! Have a great Sunday! πŸ™‚

Lots of Luv,
